In your group, create an experiment that follows classical conditioning. Make sure there is a US, UR, CS, CR. Please explain all of these aspects for your classmates to read. Once everyone has posted their experiment, please respond to one other group. In your response you should evaluate the accuracy of their US, UR, CS, CR. Read all of the experiments. We will be voting on the most accurate and creative experiment for extra credit.

ReplyDeleteHeat naturally makes us thirsty, so, our experiment is to cause someone to thirst over the color red.
ReplyDeleteWe put our subject in a non-air-conditioned room, colored all red.
we then give them a glass of water. We repeat this step several times,
eventually everytime our subject sees the color red, they will be thirsty.
US-heat
UR-thirst
CS-Color Red
CR-thirst.
I don't think a color would cause a person to thirst until someone drinks it or taste it, Because naturally we don't thirst to a color.
DeleteUS-ice cream
ReplyDeleteUR- automatically want it
CS- noise from the ice cream truck
CR- automatically want it
When ever we see any kind of delicious treat like ice cream, we naturally want to taste it!
Our parents usually buys our treats from an ice cream truck that comes with very loud music. We do this several times that we eventually know that every time we hear the loud music, we know that out parents are going to get our treats like always!
i don't think that this one is really all that hard, because, if our parents had already been buying us ice cream from the ice cream truck. so, we would have already put two and two together, i think you should instead of using the music, use a color, or an object.
Deletewhen you show the dog ambulance with flashing lights and siren train then to howl when they see it. So, when you just howl in response to always seeing the ambulance.
ReplyDeleteUS-ambulance with siren
UR-howl
CS-sees ambulance with lights and sirens
CR-howl
It would probably work without the siren, because we know that a dog naturally howls with a siren. But i think this one is a good ones!!
Deletethe CS would need to be without the sirens.
